CYNTHIA KALAM

To tell you the truth, I'm usually floating around in a place between daydreams and nightmares. That's where you might find my work.

Most of the pieces I display incorporate the blood from my veins. Mostly because I am intrigued with the idea of painting with a substance that's flowed through my heart. To cheesy people like me, it's devastatingly romantic.

I have a tendency of doing self portraits because they represent my many "faces" or alter egos, or various times and events within my own history. My pieces are simple glimpses into my senseless surreal world.
